W sobotę, 11 maja zapraszamy na specjalny pokaz najnowszego filmu wytwórni Disney DUMBO - wzruszającej opowieści o małym słoniątku, w reżyserii Tima Burtona. Na ekranie m.in. Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton i Danny DeVito.
Film prezentowany będzie w oryginalnej wersji językowej.
Dumbo to aktorski remake słynnej disneyowskiej animacji z 1941 roku. Film, podobnie jak jego pierwowzór, przedstawia historię nietypowego słonika, który ze względu na gigantyczne uszy, uważany jest za dziwoląga. Nikt jednak nie spodziewa się, że mały Dumbo obdarzony jest pewną niezwykłą umiejętnością, która uczyni z niego prawdziwą gwiazdę.
Zrealizowany przez wizjonerskiego reżysera Tima Burtona (Charlie i fabryka czekolady, Gnijąca panna młoda, Sok z żuka) Dumbo, to nostalgiczna podróż do krainy dzieciństwa. Znana i lubiana opowieść o niezwykłym słoniku w odświeżonej, wspomaganej widowiskowymi efektami specjalnymi wersji, otrzymuje nowe życie i zachwyca kolejne pokolenia widzów. W obsadzie filmu znaleźli się m.in. Colin Farrell (Na pokuszenie, Lobster), Eva Green (Marzyciele, Casino Royale), Michael Keaton (Birdman, Batman, Sok z żuka) i Danny DeVito (Wojna państwa Rose, Powrót Batmana).

Właściciel podupadającego cyrku (Danny DeVito) zatrudnia byłego artystę, Holta Farriera (Colin Farrell) do opieki nad nowonarodzonym słonikiem, wyśmiewanym z powodu ogromnych uszu. Kiedy jednak okazuje się, że Dumbo potrafi latać, cyrk zaczyna odnosić niezwykłe sukcesy. Bohaterowie na swojej drodze spotykają rzutkiego przedsiębiorcę V.A. Vandevere'a (Michael Keaton), który chce uczynić słonia główną atrakcją niesamowitego parku rozrywki o nazwie Dreamland. Dumbo odnosi tam spektakularne sukcesy, występując u boku zjawiskowej mistrzyni akrobacji, Colette Marchant (Eva Green). Sielanka nie trwa długo, ponieważ Holt odkrywa, że pod magiczną powłoką Dreamlandu kryją się mroczne sekrety.

On Saturday, May 11th, Kino Pod Baranami invites to a special screening of the latest Disney’s film DUMBO - a touching story about a little elephant, directed by Tim Burton and starring Colin Farrell, Eva Green, Michael Keaton and Danny DeVito.
The film will be presented in original language version.
Dumbo is a remake of the famous Disney animation from 1941. The film, like its prototype, tells the story of an atypical elephant who is considered to be a freak because of his gigantic ears. However, nobody expects that little Dumbo possesses an extraordinary skill, that will make him a true star.
Directed by the visionary director Tim Burton (Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Beetlejuice), Dumbo is a nostalgic journey to the land of childhood. A well-known and popular story about an unusual elephant in its refreshed version, supported by spectacular special effects, receives a new life and delights next generations of viewers. The cast includes Colin Farrell (The Beguiled, Lobster), Eva Green (The Dreamers, Casino Royale), Michael Keaton (Birdman, Batman, Beetlejuice) and Danny DeVito (The War of the Roses, Batman Return).
The film will be presented in original version, without Polish subtitles.

The owner of a decaying circus (Danny DeVito) hires former artist Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) to take care of the newborn elephant, ridiculed for its huge ears. But when it turns out that Dumbo can fly, the circus starts to be very successful. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), feisty entrepreneur, offers to buy Dumbo and make him the main attraction of an amazing amusement park called Dreamland. Little elephant is spectacularly successful there, performing alongside phenomenal acrobat Colette Marchant (Eva Green). The idyll doesn't last long, as Holt discovers that dark secrets are hidden under the magical surface of Dreamland.
